The NRH 5904-75-3 is a professional-grade, integrated locking mechanism engineered to deliver high-security, tamper-resistant closure for industrial and commercial equipment. This is not an accessory but an integral component of the enclosure itself. As detailed in the specification sheet, it is constructed from Zinc Alloy, finished with Chrome Plating, and weighs 104g. Its defining feature is a robust, integrated lock cylinder that directly secures the pivoting latch, eliminating the vulnerabilities of a padlock and hasp combination. A key advantage is the availability of a “One Key” master system, allowing streamlined key management for multiple units.
Core Specifications (from datasheet):
  • Material: Zinc Alloy
  • Finish: Chrome Plated
  • Configuration: One Key System (Master Keyed)
  • Product Weight: 104g
  • Key Dimensions (from drawing): Overall Length: 79.8mm; Height: 32mm; Latch Width: 25.4mm; Mounting: Multiple through-holes (e.g., Ø4.0mm, Ø3.7mm).

Primary Application: Where is it Used?

This integrated locking plate is designed for applications requiring managed access, theft deterrence, and protection against unauthorized operation.
  • Professional Tool Storage: Locking engineers’ and technicians’ personal or shared tool chests and carts to prevent tool loss and enable “one-person, one-key” accountability.
  • Industrial Cabinets & Enclosures: Used on server racks, network communication cabinets, and outdoor power distribution boxes to protect sensitive internal equipment from unauthorized access or tampering.
  • Logistics & Storage Security: Installed on shipping container doors, cargo crate hatches, or large storage cages as a more robust, shear-resistant alternative to traditional padlocks.
  • Asset Management & Public Facilities: Securing shared equipment boxes, rental asset lockers, or internal company storage for valuable items, facilitating secure and manageable asset control.
Core Positioning: It provides integrated, high-strength, active anti-theft locking as a built-in part of the equipment enclosure.

How It Works: Principle of Operation

The device operates through a reliable mechanical locking cycle:
  1. Installation:
    • The main lock body (containing the cylinder) is securely fastened to the cabinet or door frame via multiple rear mounting screws.
    • A sturdy U-shaped or tongue-shaped locking bolt is mounted on the corresponding door panel.
  2. Locking Process:
    • When the door is closed, the locking bolt enters the receptacle in the lock body.
    • The user manually presses down the pivoting latch on top of the lock, causing it to clamp onto the locking bolt, completing the initial mechanical closure.
    • The dedicated key is inserted into the cylinder and turned. This action drives the internal locking bolt to extend, physically locking the pivoting latch in the closed position, making it impossible to lift. The locking bolt is now completely immobilized within the lock body.
  3. Unlocking Process:
    • The correct key is turned in the opposite direction, retracting the internal locking bolt and releasing the pivoting latch.
    • The latch can now be lifted to release the locking bolt, allowing the door to be opened.
Key Point: Security is derived from the direct mechanical locking of the load-bearing latch by the integrated cylinder. This one-piece construction offers superior resistance to prying and forced entry compared to a separate hasp and padlock.

Core Features

  • Integrated, Tamper-Resistant Design: Installed via screws that pass through the enclosure panel from the rear, it cannot be cut or pried off as a whole like an external padlock. The cylinder is fully integrated, with no exposed, vulnerable shackle.
  • Professional Key Management (Core Advantage): It is typically supplied in a “One Key” master-keyed configuration. This means a single master key can open all locks from the same batch, drastically simplifying key management for facility managers overseeing dozens or hundreds of cabinets, eliminating the need to carry large key rings.
  • Robust and Durable: The main body is manufactured from heavy-duty Zinc Alloy via die-casting, ensuring a solid structure. The Chrome Plating finish provides excellent rust and corrosion resistance for industrial environments.
  • High-Security Cylinder: Equipped with a high-grade pin tumbler cylinder (using flat or round keys), offering a high level of pick resistance. Key duplication is strictly controlled.
  • Precise Installation Requirements: The product drawings provide exact dimensions for mounting hole spacing and locking bolt positioning. Strict alignment during installation is crucial for smooth operation and overall security integrity.
